A reflection on self-hate |
|
| |
Pure hate is self-hate.
The hate of self.
The disgust of self.
The guilt of I.
The regrets of self.
The dishonesty of self.
The depression of self.
The anger of self.
The fear of fear.
The belief that you are too short.
The belief that you are too fat.
The belief that you are not attractive.
The belief that you are the wrong colour.
The belief that you are less.
Self-hate is the root of all negativity.
It is the denial of self.
The ignorance of awareness.
The dishonesty of true perception.
The depression of who and what you really are.
The hate of something that is beautiful.
The doubt of an immortal being.
The fear of fear itself.
By knowing self, we can be made aware of what it means to be human.
Unique amongst the universe.
A perfect likeness of the ultimate creator.
That we might love ourselves for ourselves and accept that in this life, our
journey is as we are.

Call to Earth |
|
| |
Take, O Earth,
and receive my entire liberty,
my memory,
my understanding and my whole will.
All that I am and all that I possess You have given me.
I surrender it all to You to be disposed of according to Your will. Give me
only Your love and Your grace; with these I will be rich enough, and will
desire nothing more.

Call to Ancestors |
|
| |
Ancestors, give us grace to accept with
serenity
the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things which should be
changed,
and the wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting respect as a pathway to peace,
Embracing, this sometimes sad world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Understanding that I can make a positive change,
If I believe in myself,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next. |
