For children, who suffer at the hands
of parents whom they trust and love.
For spouses, beaten and destroyed
by those who promised to love
and to cherish them forever.
For all people ignored, hated and cheated by their peers, neighbours or society.

Give them the awareness and understanding that those who inflict pain and suffering do so because of their own self-hate and ignorance.

Grant them the cleansing tranquility of compassion to forgive those that hurt and in doing so, grow even more in life.

So be it.

My awareness is beyond this point,
my awareness is of the beauty of life,
my awareness is of the happiest moments of my life.

You can crush my skin and bones,
you can inflict pain on this body,
but you will never touch my mind.

My mind is free,
My mind is free of pain
My mind is free of the memory of pain.

I forgive you for your ignorance
I forgive you for your hate
In forgiving you I free myself
