Call for those who are aged  
  Ancestors, aeon
there are times in each life
when there is no one.
No one with whom to share
a word,
a laugh,
a sad remembrance,
a gentle touch,
a fond embrace,
a kiss of love.
Bless each one who suffers
from such loneliness.
Enrich life with a friend
or gentle stranger
who will spend a moment
noticing and loving.
In those times
your love shines through,
the world is reborn,
and awareness is known.
So be it!		  
  Call for those elderly alone  
  Ancestors, I call on you to hear my call.
Grant me the peace to see the time I have left, not as a curse but as a blessing.
Help me to reflect on my life, the good and the bad,
so that I might have the time in my own mind to close any unfinished business.
Grant me the awareness so see things for as they are at all levels.
Give me serenity.
So let it be.		  
  General call for the elderly  
  May all beings everywhere plagued
with sufferings of body and mind
quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid,
and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power,
and may people think of befriending
one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless,
fearful wilderness-- the children, the aged, the unprotected--be guarded by your love,
and may they swiftly attain Awareness.		  
  Call for those with memory loss  
  Ancestors, aeons,
hear our call
for all who suffer from memory loss.
In the days of changing memory,
be with them in their fears.
Calm our fears when the appearance of memory in loved ones has gone.
Grant family, friends and acquaintances the peace of knowing that all memory is eternal and immortal.
Nothing is forgotten. Everything is saved.
Grant them a secure home environment, and dignity at the end of their lives.
May each day bring a blessing,
hope, and greater love.
