LOGOS |
|
 |
The EKELOS LOGOS prime ideas state: |
|
| |
Human nature as prime factor |
• |
For all theorizing of ideas concerning economic or ekelogos ideas, the prime factor in determining most outcomes is human nature. |
• |
Groups of humans will tend towards common personality profiles (as if they were one person) in proportion to their common culture, education and social goals. |
• |
These common personality profiles tend towards consistent (predictable) behaviour to the extent that the profile is accurate and of sufficient depth to plot the likely mind set result. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Human nature drives human culture |
• |
For all of human history, human nature has been the prime driver of human culture and the state of human civilization. |
• |
Human culture has always been based on the foundation that humans are less than one another and a higher being and that socio-economic classes are part of the natural order of the universe. |
• |
The fundamental alignment of ideas underpinning all human cultures have historically promoted negative human behaviours in the context of self-hate, ignorance, greed, violence, anger, lust, dishonesty and mistrust. |

| |
Economic prosperity and military power |
• |
The general economic prosperity of more than a few has always depended upon the benevolence of a military power capable of crushing any uprising or invasion. |
• |
Military weapons development and war has always been the most basic of economic activity of empires. |
• |
Economic ideas have always been associated with the winning or losing powers, with principle emphasis on maintaining or gaining power. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Failure of benevolent "pure" economics |
• |
There has never been an economic theory capable of changing an empire unless the people controlling the society deemed it to their advantage. |
• |
So long as an empire deems its control is critical on certain economic elements, it will retain control until that control is changed by force or by force of idea. |
• |
Economic theories and ideas based on benevolance, logic or common sense alone are unlikely to overcome selfish economic interests and ignorance. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Consumerism |
• |
A modern economic model designed to allow economic prosperity but retain control is consumerism. |
• |
Consumerism is the promotion of mass consumption of brand products into markets. |
• |
The success of consumerism means that half of the largest economic entities on planet Earth are corporations, not countries. |
• |
Consumerism has generated the largest growth in physical possession wealth in human history. |
• |
However, consumerism has generated the greatest decline in physical and mental health in those countries that have experienced the greatest growth in personal possessions. |
• |
Consumerism helps maintain the essential economic framework of the empire and status quo. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Perpetuation of unhappiness |
• |
So long as cultures are underpinned by inferior concepts of the value of human life, cultures and society will be unhappy and less than it could be. |
